Experience

Joseph joined One Pump Court as a pupil in October 2025.

Before starting pupillage, Joseph worked in ATLEU’s housing and public law teams, assisting survivors of trafficking and exploitation on a wide range of housing matters and judicial reviews relating to asylum and NRM accommodation. He also worked in Wilson Solicitors LLP’s public law team on unlawful detention challenges and related civil claims.

Joseph also gained experience in several campaigns, policy and casework roles. He was the coordinator of SOAS Detainee Support, an intern at Liberty, and volunteered with trade unions, frontline migrant charities and legal observer groups.

Joseph is the Vice Chair of the Institute of Race Relations (IRR), the anti-racist think tank, and one of the co-editors of the Haldane Society’s magazine Socialist Lawyer.

Joseph is supervised in pupillage by Alex Burrett and Rebecca Martin.
