Global Business Mobility

The Global Business Mobility (GBM) routes provide several pathways for overseas businesses to establish a presence in the UK without setting up a separate UK entity. These routes are designed to facilitate temporary work assignments and include the following categories:

  • Senior or Specialist Workers (formerly Intra-Company Transfer)
  • Graduate Trainees
  • Service Suppliers
  • UK Expansion Workers
  • Secondment Workers

Each category has specific eligibility requirements. However, all routes require the UK-based employer to hold a Sponsor Licence and be specifically authorised to employ workers under the relevant category.

At One Pump Court, our experienced Immigration Team advises a wide range of commercial clients—from multinational corporations to small businesses—on a direct access basis or via instructions from solicitors.

We understand that navigating the UK’s business immigration system, especially under routes such as Global Business Mobility , can be complex and demanding.

We offer practical, commercially focused advice and support with:

  • Obtaining a Sponsor Licence
  • Maintaining compliance with sponsor duties
  • Securing visas under the Global Talent and GBM routes
  • Advising on complex or sensitive cases, including those involving criminal records or adverse immigration history

Our deep knowledge of Home Office policies, paired with our litigation expertise, enables us to provide strategic, tailored advice for your business immigration needs.
