Significant findings made against father after a three-day fact-finding hearing in which Emma Talbot represented the mother

Emma Talbot represented the respondent mother in a three-day fact-finding hearing.

Emma Talbot represented the respondent mother in a three-day fact-finding hearing, during which the father made extensive admissions in cross examination of physical, verbal, emotional and psychological abuse towards the mother and their young children spanning a number of years.

Emma picked up this case almost two years into the course of private children proceedings where the respondent mother, as the primary carer also dealing with major medical treatment, had been self-representing for the majority. The admissions mark a major shift in the father’s ability to take accountability for his harmful and abusive behaviours.

Emma was instructed on a pro bono basis through Advocate.

Emma recently accepted tenancy at One Pump Court after completing her pupillage in October 2026. She accepts instructions in immigration, family, Court of Protection and public law.
