Parosha Chandran to Speak at Bar Council Law Reform Lecture 2026

One Pump Court’s Parosha Chandran will be speaking at the Bar Council’s Law Reform Lecture 2026 on 2 July.

This year’s lecture will examine how the law on modern slavery, trafficking and exploitation has developed since the introduction of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and whether the current legal framework is effectively addressing these issues both nationally and internationally.

The event will feature keynote addresses from the Attorney General, Lord Hermer KC, and Mrs Justice Eady, former President of the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

Parosha will join the panel in discussing the wider legal, employment and human rights context of modern slavery legislation, as well as current reform proposals and emerging challenges in this area.

The lecture is free to attend, and further details, including booking information, can be found via the Bar Council website.
