Stephen Knight secured the quashing of an IPP sentence that was imposed unlawfully over 20 years ago, in a case which made national headlines.

The Court of Appeal used the opportunity to send a message to the government that action was needed in order to resolve the enduring injustice of IPP prisoners still serving sentences decades after their initial sentence.
