Kitan Ososami secures an acquittal in the Central Criminal Court for a woman charged with assaulting an emergency worker.
Kitan Ososami represented a woman of good character charged with assaulting an emergency worker in the Central Criminal Court.
The allegation arose out of an incident at Notting Hill Carnival in 2024, where a police officer alleged that her hair was pulled by Kitan’s client. The Complainant and two other police officers gave evidence.
Following robust cross-examination and inspection of all officers’ body-worn footage, Kitan made a half-time submission of no case to answer as the live evidence of hair pulling contradicted the body-worn footage.
The application was successful, and the Judge directed the jury to return a not guilty verdict.
Adam Abo-El-Ella of MTC Solicitors instructed Kitan.
