Experience

Francesca joined One Pump Court as a pupil in October 2024 and has now commenced tenancy within the Family and Immigration teams.

Prior to pupillage, Francesca gained significant experience in human rights and immigration law through roles at Duncan Lewis Solicitors and Imran Khan & Partners, where she worked on complex asylum, family reunion and Grenfell Tower litigation matters.

Whilst working with a team of advocates in Lesvos, Francesca successfully obtained interim relief from the ECtHR for medically vulnerable clients. Her international experience also includes co-authoring an Expert Opinion for the CJEU on removal procedures and conducting human trafficking research for the United Nations.

Immigration
Francesca practises across a range of immigration matters, with a particular interest in asylum claims, deportation appeals, bail applications and family reunification. She regularly appears in the First-tier Tribunal, and has represented clients from several different countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Colombia, Honduras and Somalia. Francesca also accepts instructions in judicial review applications and has a keen interest in challenging certification decisions.

Family
Alongside immigration, Francesca is regularly instructed in family law matters, with a focus on cases involving vulnerable individuals and victims of domestic abuse. She is regularly instructed in private children matters and domestic abuse proceedings. She often receives repeat instructions, owing largely to her keen ability to inspire confidence and quickly develop a relationship of trust with those she represents.
