Olivia Beach succeeds in judicial review challenging a decision of the Parole Board failing to grant an oral hearing. The claim succeeded on grounds of procedural unfairness and a failure to give adequate reasons for the decision.

This case concerned a particularly vulnerable prisoner who is 27 years post-tariff and has a complex mental health history. As a result, an expedited oral hearing before the Parole Board was ordered.
