‘The Real Mo Farah’ documentary

‘The Real Mo Farah’ documentary, in which Sir Mo Farah revealed he had been trafficked to the UK as a child, has won a BAFTA aware for Best Single Documentary.

Allan Briddock of One Pump Court advised Sir Mo, along with Natasha Hotson of Clintons Solicitors, as to the risk to Sir Mo and his family in revealing his true history.

In accepting the award, Sir Mo said ‘in doing the documentary, I was in control of my career for many years, but I wasn’t in control of the outcome’ of revealing the truth.

Congratulations to Sir. Mo, his wife Tania, producer Leo Burley, and all the team for making this sad but heart-warming and fascinating documentary.

Sir. Mo dedicated the award to all children who have been trafficked and said that no child deserves to go through what he did. Sadly, the rights of trafficked children are under threat from the government’s Illegal Migration Bill and in future victims of trafficking may not receive the protection the deserve. We hope Sir. Mo’s bravery in telling his truth will encourage the government to guarantee the protection of all trafficked children.
