Martin Hodgson and Rachel Francis recognised in Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards

After reading over 800 pages of nominations, the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year (LALY) judges met in London earlier this week to make their selections for the 2019 awards.

We are delighted to announce that Martin Hodgson has been shortlisted as a finalist for Legal Aid barrister of the year. The Legal Aid Practitioners Group has also made Special Awards to honour former Young Legal Aid Lawyers co-chair, Rachel Francis for her exceptional contribution to access to justice.

One Pump Court is extremely proud of Martin and Rachel and wish them both the very best of luck.

The LALYs are organised by the Legal Aid Practitioners Group, and are into their 17th year. The winners will be announced by Baroness Helena Kennedy QC at a ceremony in central London on 10 July.
