Margo Munro Kerr represented YK who was acquitted following trial of two charges of kidnapping by unanimous verdict.  YK had been driving a car carrying the co-defendant and two complainants. YK was alleged to be acting in concert with the co-defendant who was accused of holding a gun to one complainant and a knife to the other.  A 999 call from one complainant recorded YK telling the co-defendant to take his phone from him. At trial the defence argued that the complainants had set the defendants up; on behalf of YK Margo also argued that as the driver he hadn’t been able to see what was going on.
