Judicial Appointments

We are pleased to announce that Harriet Short and Sam Elliott have been both appointed as Deputy District Judges on the South Eastern Circuit. Harriet will sit within the Civil Jurisdiction, Sam will sit within the Civil and Family Jurisdiction.

Harriet will continue her practice in immigration and inquests, and as head of One Pump Court’s Immigration Group, and Sam will continue his practice in family law.

Appointments to the role are made by the Lord Chancellor on the advice of the Judicial Appointments Commission, and through open recruitment.
