Gilda Kiai appointed to the Bar Disciplinary Tribunal

Gilda Kiai has formally been appointed as a barrister member of the Council of the Inns of Court Disciplinary Pool, effective from 20th March 2023.

Gilda will sit on Disciplinary Tribunal Hearings, which consider the most serious allegations of professional misconduct against barristers; Fitness to Practice Hearings, which consider whether an individual’s fitness to practice is impaired to such an extent that restrictions on practice are necessary; and Inns Conduct Committee Hearings, which consider admission and disciplinary cases brought by the Inns of Court against student members or applicants for admission to an Inn of Court for the Bar Tribunal & Adjudication Service (‘BTAS’). BTAS is a constituent part of the Council of the Inns of Court.
