Emma Daykin obtains permission for judicial review of Afghan interpreter refusal

Emma Daykin appeared for the Claimant in an emergency application for judicial review on Friday 27th August.  The Claimant is a former interpreter for the British forces in Afghanistan and is now at risk as a result.  His application made earlier in the year under the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy was refused in mid-August on apparent national security grounds with no further details provided.  The result being that his and his families’ evacuation was cancelled.  Permission was granted on all grounds with directions for expediated proceedings.  Emma was instructed by Norma & Co Solicitors.
