Daniel Grütters represents the family in inquest into the death of Ian Taylor, a black British man who died whilst under arrest by the Metropolitan Police

The inquest into the death of Ian Talyor, a 54 year old- man from Brixton concluded on 19 May 2022. Ian died after suffering a cardiac arrest whilst being held by the Metropolitan Police on 29 June 2019. The jury found the risk assessment carried out by the police to be inadequate. The Coroner has referred one of the officers involved to the IOPC for further investigation.
