Eleanor Sanders represented the Appellant for nearly three years in his appeal against deportation to Jamaica. The case ultimately succeeded in the Upper Tribunal.

The Appellant has young children and his partner has significant health problems. The Home Office argued that the children could stay in the UK without their father. The Appellant’s case was refused, reheard after an appeal, and then refused again by the First-Tier Tribunal. The Upper Tribunal then refused permission to appeal. It was necessary to bring a judicial review to the High Court, which granted permission. This meritorious case was finally allowed after being remitted by consent to the Upper Tribunal.
