Ulrike is a third six pupil specialising in matrimonial finance and private children work. Before coming to the Bar, Ulrike worked for Burgess Mee Family Law where she assisted with high-value financial remedy cases, as well as complex private children disputes, including child abduction cases.
Since joining the Bar, Ulrike has represented clients at all stages of the litigation process, including FDAs, FDRs, FHDRAs, DRAs, final hearings and enforcement hearings. She has been described by instructing solicitors as a “very knowledgeable and professional advocate who truly cares about her clients”.
Examples of recent cases are:-
B v A
Child Arrangements enforcement proceedings, final hearing. Successful in persuading the court to the criminal standard of proof that the mother had breached the child arrangements order and that she had no reasonable excuse for doing so. The Recorder was persuaded that direct contact between the father and the child was to be preferred over indirect contact (as ordered in the final child arrangements order) so as to counter the effects of the mother’s influence over the child.
W v O
Ancillary Relief, final hearing. Successful in persuading the District Judge that the joint tenancy between W and O should be transferred into W’s sole name and that she could keep all furnishings of the flat.
M v M
Financial remedies proceedings. This case involves a number of foreign properties held under a trust for the benefit of W and her siblings, as well as a number of UK properties. Ulrike represented H at the FDA and was instructed to draft the questionnaire. She is instructed on an ongoing basis.
