R v EB [2024] Crown Court at Leicester

20.12.2024

Margo Munro Kerr represented a protestor acquitted of conspiracy to cause criminal damage.

The defendants broke through the gates of an Elbit arms factory using a van. They sprayed red paint on the ground and security hut from the roof of their van. They also threw other items, smashing the windscreens of cars including police cars. They told the jury that their actions had been justified to prevent genocide and war crimes in Gaza.

On 20 December 2025, after a 3-week trial, they were acquitted by the jury of conspiracy to cause criminal damage. Margo’s client was also acquitted of affray.

Margo was instructed by Sophia Dutton of Kellys Solicitors.
