One Pump Court Chambers currently requires a full time Junior Clerk to assist the clerking team in chambers. The successful applicant can expect up to £18,000 per annum, rising to £21,216 after a 6 month probationary period, and 20 days holiday allotment.

You should work in an efficient professional manner, have a good standard of education, with at least 5 GCSEs, grades A – C, which must include Maths and English, and proven communication skills. It is essential that you are computer literate.

You should have the ability to work under pressure, demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment have a forward looking attitude.

Junior Clerk duties will include but are not restricted to: (Job Description is available upon request)

  •  Providing general support to the Clerks as and when required in all aspects of clerking members.
  • Understanding and applying the Equality and Diversity code, as this applies in respect of your duties in clerking members
  • Playing an active and influential role in the future success of Chambers
