A native of the Westcountry, Rob attended Millfield School before undertaking a law degree at the University of Leicester, where he graduated first in his cohort. He moved to the University of Oxford to study for a BCL, at Wadham College, thanks to the generosity of a 3VB Scholarship.
Rob’s 12-month pupillage was undertaken in Bristol, incorporating extensive trial experience in the magistrates’ courts of the Western Circuit, and beyond. Prior to this Rob cemented a place as a top six finalist in the inaugural ICLR Pupillage Award (2016).
A move to One Pump Court has ensured that Rob can focus solely upon his preferred area of law, family. He looks forward to developing his practice across all areas of family law that chambers specialise in.
Whilst studying for the bar Rob enjoyed a variety of other experience including working in the family office of a high net worth individual for a year and representing parents of children with special educational needs, as a parental advocate, through IPSEA (Independent Parental Special Education Advice).
Away from the bar Rob is a perennially disappointed season ticket holder at Ashton Gate, home of Bristol City.
